Not exactly what we had planned for...

Tabor Arts is back!  We are excited to offer a series of summer clubs.  Safety is our first priority.  All clubs will be following strict safety protocols.  Registration will be limited to comply with State requirements.  Clubs will be held outside (weather depending).

One Act Performance: "The Internet is Distract-- OH LOOK A KITTEN!"
7/13 - 7/24 (1 PM - 4 PM: Monday - Friday)
Ages: 7-15
Cost per student: $400
Max: 20 students
Show Synopsis: Micah only has twenty minutes to finish her paper of The Great Gatsby. She just needs to check a few facts on the internet first. Unfortunately, the web is a nefariously wacky place where boxing cats, Facebook lurkers, and pig-throwing games threaten to take over Micah's schoolwork, or worse. Will she finish her paper and schoolwork, or worse? Will she finish her paper and escape with her life before the school bell rings? A high-octane comedy that explores the rabbit hole of distraction we all go down every time we go online. 


New Play Workshop
08/10 - 08/21 (1 PM - 4 PM)
Ages: 7-15
Cost per students: $400
Max: 20 students
Description: Students will come together to create a script through improv and character development with the guidance of the instructors. Students will perform their original new work at the end of the two weeks.

StudioOne Musical Theatre Dance Club

7/06 - 7/10 (1 pm - 3 pm: Monday, Wednesday, Friday)

Ages: 9-12

Cost per student: $100 

Max: 20 students

Description: Students will learn choreography to fun musical theatre dance numbers from much loved loved musicals.  This club will have traditional dance class components as well as a fun focus on learning choreography.

Description: Students will participate in a Black Box Theatre style short play. There will be minimal props, costumes, and sets. This will engage students in the real skill of acting, improvisation and pantomiming. We will have a performance of the play at the end of the two week run.

Dungeons and Dragons - From the Board to the Stage

7/27-7/31 (1 pm - 4 pm: Monday-Friday)

Description: An interactive thrill ride combining Dungeons and Dragons with improv to create a fantastic melding of the two. Part Escape Room and part live-theatre, this game of Dungeons and Dragons will be unlike anything you’ve ever experienced before.

 

Clowning Around

8/3-8/7 (1 pm - 4 pm)

Ages: 7-13

Cost per student: $250

Max: 20 students

Description: Discover the wacky world of clowning in theater. Using improv and miming skills, students will create goofy and comedic characters on the fly and learn about the history of clowning and different forms of theater that have made a huge presence on the stages in today’s world.

 

New Play Workshop

Description: Students will come together to create a script with the guidance of the instructors. Once the show is finished being written by the students, they will perform their finished work. This will challenge students' creativity and employ skills in acting, improvisation and pantomiming.

Gentle Morning Yoga 

Saturday mornings from 9:00 – 10:00 AM from 7/18 – 8/8/20  
Instructors: Sophia Smith
Ages: Adults and or Adults accompanying 13 years and older children
Cost per student: $60 per individual; $100 per couple
Max: 20 participants

Join Sophia in an outdoor gentle yoga flow on Saturday mornings from 9:00-10:00. We will work with the meditative and physical practices of yoga to awaken our bodies, calm our minds, and nourish our spirits for the weekend ahead. Bring a yoga mat or towel/blanket, plenty of water, and a mask in case weather requires us to move indoors. Come as you are, all levels are welcome.

Participants must bring their own yoga mat (or blanket/towel) and water bottle.  Temperatures must be taken upon arrival and in case of inclement weather and we have to move the inside masks must be worn.  

​

Safety Requirements

Temperatures will be taken at drop-off.  Parents must sign their child in and stay until temperature is recorded.  Anyone with a temperature of 99.5 or higher will have to return home for that day.

 

Hand sanitization will happen at drop-off, pick-up and throughout the club experience.

 

We will always be conducting out clubs outside unless there is a thunderstorm.  In the case of thunderstorms we will move inside keeping 10 children or less per room and practicing social distancing.

​

Masks must be worn inside by all.

 

Only one person is allowed in the bathroom at a time and must wear a mask.

 

Sunscreen/bug spray should be applied prior to arrival.  

No food, water bottles are ok, masks etc.
